The Chubbsafes Cobra office safe range is designed primarily to provide protection against physical attack, it will also offer moderate protection against fire for paper documents only. The range consists of five different sized safes and are perfect for protecting petty cash, cheque books and important documents. Standard locking on the Cobra is by way of a key and three wheel combination lock, optional digital locking is available. Recommended maximum cash holding of $10,000.
Chubb recommends that all safes be securely attached to the ground to help resist removal.

Home or Small Business

The Chubbsafes 3000 Series safe range is best suited to home or small business applications where low value items require protection. Six sizes are available and all are supplied with key and combination locking as standard. Recommended maximum cash holding of $15,000 for sizes 2 - 7.
The Chubb 3000 Series Safe is a low-medium security safe designed to offer limited burglar and fire protection. It is an ideal safe for small businesses and homes. The Chubb 3000 Series Safe's unique features make it superior in comparison to other safes within the same range.

Body: The body consists of inner and outer plates enclosing a seamless casting of Chubb's patented M30 barrier material, solidly forming a monolithic structure that is consistent in its strength. It's a formidable barrier to a potential criminal in addition to its fire resisting properties.
Door: The door has an overall thickness of 75 mm and is secured by front moving steel bolts measuring 25mm in diameter. For added protection, the back edge of the door consists of a full length docking bolt which contributes to better resistance against forced opening when the door is locked or when the hinges are cut.
Locking: The Chubb 3000 Series Safe is fitted with an Underwriters Laboratory (UL) listed 3-wheel combination lock and a pick resistant 6-lever Chubb High Security keylock. Both locks operate independently of each other, thus providing a higher security to the locking system. The keylock is further protected by a drill resistant plate to maximise protection. Size Two has the combination lock only.
A relocking device is incorporated into the boltwork system to provide additional resistance should the locks be dislodged during an attack.
Fittings: The Safe comes complete with a standard internal steel shelf which is adjustable in intervals to suit individual customer requirements. (Size 3 and above)
Optional Deposit Drawer: The Chubbsafes 3000 Series safes can be supplied with the Drop Drawer Deposit option, ex factory.
Finish: An epoxy based light grey paint that is both scratch-resistant and durable is used to coat the body and door of the safe.

Home Safe

The Chubbsafes Electronic Home safe is specially designed to protect limited amounts of cash and valuables within a domestic or office surrounding. In addition to theft protection this safe has passed a 90 minute fire rating for protecting paper documents.
The Electronic Home Safe incorporates the latest design in digitally controlled locking mechanisms. The electronic lock is secured by a 6-digit code offering 1 million code changes. The keypad incorporates a Light Emitting Diode (LED) that clearly displays the functions being operated by the user as well as providing a 'lockout' feature should there be 3 unauthorized attempts to open the safe. A key over ride feature is also standard should the batteries be allowed to run low.
The electronic lock controls a pair of heavy steel moving bolts securing the front edge of the safe's door. A separate pair of dead bolts also secure the back edge of the door providing additional resistance to attempted attacks on the safe's door.
The Electronic Home Safe comes with a wood panel drawer complete with compartments to accommodate jewellery and other small valuables.
For added security, the Electronic Home Safe has the option of being anchored to any stable base by two reinforcing bolts.

Body Has an overall thickness of 71.5mm and comprises an inner and outer plate of tough steel with a filling of solid fire-resistant barrier material.
Door Has an overall thickness of 10Omm comprising both the main door and lock casing. The main door is 46mm thick.
Locking The door is secured to the body of the safe by two 19mm in diameter steel moving bolts at the front end and two fixed back bolts at the rear edge of the main door.
Finish An epoxy-based light grey paint with an attractive and user-friendly keypad.

The Chubbsafes Electronic Apartment and Condominium safe has been specially designed for use in homes with limited space to protect owners against the constant threat of petty theft. The Condominium Safe also carries a 30 minute fire rating for paper documents.

Commercial Grade

The Safe-Wise Cub -manufactured by Chubb, is a commercial grade underfloor safe suitable for protecting medium amounts of cash and valuables. All underfloor safes must be enclosed in high grade concrete to ensure maximum theft protection.
Standard locking is by one 3 wheel keyless combination lock. An automatic, relocking device is a standard feature of this safe. This is on guard while the safe is locked.
Opening the Cub safe is a simple procedure. Unlock it, grasp the handle and twist, then lift to remove the floor safe's head. To re-lock, simply replace the head, twist until it stops and lock it by spinning the dial of the combination at least three times.
Where to Locate the Cub Floor Safe

Before installing consider the following points about your chosen location:
Is the safe easily accessible? This is important to facilitate easy lifting out of the safe head.
Is it conveniently located for every day use?
Is the area covered by a security alarm system?
In the commercial situation is the location well lit?
Is the area on the ground floor and is it free of electrical cables, drains, etc?
Are there tools on the premises that a burglar could use?

Installation
The Cub floor safe is strictly an UNDER-FLOOR safe. (Freestanding units are available if required for above floor situations.) It is advisable to have your unit installed by a reputable tradesman, your Chubb Security Consultant will be able to advise you on this.
Masonry Opening: At least 500mm x 675mm x 575 deep
Wall Thickness: A minimum wall thickness of 100mm with high-grade steel reinforcing should encase the floor safe body. This should be tied into the steel work of the surrounding floor.
Installation: The neck of the safe must be FLUSH with the floor. While concrete is setting, remove the head from the safe so that any condensation may disperse.

Annual Service
The combination lock and boltwork should be serviced annually to ensure smooth operation. Contact your Chubb Security Consultant or Service Engineer, who will assist with this matter.

Home and Small Business

The Safe-Wise Warden -manufactured by Chubb, will provide convenient and secure storage for cash and other valuables as well as larger items such as jewellery boxes, cashiers tins, ledgers, journals and stamp albums. The perfect underfloor safe for the home or small business and being concealed discreetly beneath the floor, under carpet or furniture, the Warden is hidden from an intruder's view and provides good security without detriment to the layout of the room.
The hinged door is a feature that makes the safe extremely easy to use.

Where to install - Installation Concerns
The safe should ideally be installed in a concrete floor. For installations in other types of floors it is essential that the safe is well encased in concrete and secured to the building structure.
The masonry opening for the safe should be at least 470mm x 470mm x 500 mm deep.
A minimum wall thickness of 100mm of concrete with steel reinforcing should encase the safe body. This should be tied into the steel work of the surrounding floor.
You will want to use the safe frequently so site for convenience remembering to ensure the location is free from ground water and will not interfere with electrical cables or drains.
With the unique hinged door design it is also possible to install your Warden in a concrete wall assuming the depth of the body can be accommodated.

Optional Deposit Facilities

Chubbsafes offer optional deposit facilities on many models in its range, deposit slots on the lighter office type safes and the Drop Drawer system on the Chubbsafes Europa commercial models.
The prime function of a trap entry is to provide a device where items can be deposited into a safe at any time while the door remains locked. Apart from minimising the risk of armed holdup, a system that allows for easy and unrestricted depositing greatly reduces the number of persons that need to be key or combination holders. This obviously improves the security of cash handling procedures.
Please add 255mm to the standard safes external height to allow for the deposit drawer option.

LG Basic Electronic Lock

Chubb offer the LG Basic Digital lock as an option on any of their security safes. Digital locking is proving to be very popular in all business and domestic applications as they are user friendly and can have new combinations installed with ease by the original combination holder.
Two Combinations - Manager and one user combination Manager Mode - Add / Temporarily Disable / Remove user. Audio / Visual Signal - Double signal indicates entry is valid or accepted. Triple signal indicates invalid or not accepted. Wrong Try Penalty - Four invalid combinations initiates five minute delay period. Low Battery Warning - Repeated audio signal (beeping) during operation indicates battery low. Retro-fit - Can be retro-fitted in place of most existing combination locks.

CHANGING COMBINATIONS
(Lock signals twice after each valid entry.)
Always have the safe door open when changing combinations.

Enter six zeros.
Enter existing combination once.
Enter new combination twice.
Invalid Combination Entry - Lock signals three times and old combination still valid.
Batteries: To change the battery of the LG Basic simply lift off the digital pad and replace the battery. Chubb Lock and Safe only recommend the use of Duracel batteries.
Older versions of this lock have a battery clip at the base of the pad with the battery slot up inside.
More sophisticated electronic locks are available offering features such as audit trails and opening print outs.

LG Safegard & Combogard

Chubb offer the LG Safegard Digital lock as an option on any of their security safe range. The Safegard model offers additional features from the LG Basic model and is more suited for commercial applications.

LG Smartgard

Chubb offer the Legard Smartgard as an option on any of their security safe range. This electronic digital lock offers all the features of the LG Safegard plus it has a built in lock and a full audit trail.

3 & 4 Wheel Chubb and S&G Combination Locks

Arrow at 12 O’clock is opening mark – Line at 11 O’clock is the change mark. Chubb locks sometimes have the change mark at 1 O'clock.
Important Information: Dialing to numbers must be accurate. Going past the number and the backing up will prevent the lock from opening.
